Joinery, carpentry, building services

I started my working life in the theatre as a stage manager then as a production manager. This taught me the disciplines of bringing a project to fruition on time and on budget. After a spell making corporate videos I moved into the building business with an emphasis on carpentry and plunbing which is what I have been doing for the last 15 years.

I started by making single items such as bookcases and cupboards and then taking on larger projects as well.

I either work directly from the clients instructions or in conjunction with designer Claire Lyth with whom I have an excellent working relationship - we are married!

Work we have done together includes refurbishing a house in Belgravia, a maisonette in Kensington and flats in Knightsbridge, Holland Park, Victoria, Notting Hill and Bayswater. Pictures of these projects can be seen on this site and also on Claire’s website.

We are just starting work on a kitchen and extension in Aldeburgh.

Having spent most of our working lives to date in London our desire to now live and work in Suffolk surely needs no justification!
